Drove demand generation for the IBM z10 EC mainframe server which launched in
February 2008. Directed the creation of collateral and planned events to promote the z10 EC
world-wide. By the third quarter of 2008 Gartner announced that IBM was the
leading vendor of servers costing more than $250,000 with 57.7 percent revenue
share worldwide. The mainframe market grew 10 percent in the third quarter with
IBM responsible for more than half of the market share gained. In addition, System z specialty MIPS grew over 120% as businesses continue to
strive for the increased energy efficiency, lower costs and the advanced
security that mainframes offer.
